Easy Peasy recordkeeping: what My EP does—and what I’d save

What I’d save separately

I’d keep a small, useful record outside the lesson tracker: the course and level, the dates worked, selected work samples, and a note about what needs another look. This is an organizational suggestion, not a statement of what your jurisdiction requires.

For each subject, I’d choose a place the family can reliably maintain: a paper notebook, a folder, or a document. The important part is being able to find the work later. I would not buy a complicated system until a simpler routine proved inadequate.

A weekly log I’d actually use

I’d use exact course names and lesson numbers in a real log. “Did school” is harder to interpret later than “Math, lesson 24; corrected problems 3 and 6.” The note only needs enough detail to make the next action clear.

My end-of-week routine

1. Match a few completed lessons with the work the student can show.
2. Save selected pages or photographs with recognizable filenames.
3. Write down concepts that need another explanation.
4. Back up digital records somewhere separate from the working device.
5. Plan a brief follow-up before moving too far ahead.

I’d ask the student to explain one saved piece of work. That conversation is useful to me because a completed assignment and an understood concept are not always the same thing.

What changes for high school?

Easy Peasy’s high-school overview says the parent provides transcripts and records; the program cannot supply them. I’d plan the record system before the year starts and check the requirements relevant to the student’s location and next educational step. High-school overview.

What I wouldn’t assume

I wouldn’t assume a login means the platform stores everything, that checked lessons prove mastery, or that someone else’s recordkeeping routine satisfies my own requirements. I’d keep the system modest but deliberate: enough evidence to understand progress and retrieve it when needed.
